If you are the parent of a young boy,Buying Ben 10 Toys – A Step By Step Guide Articles perhaps aged 4 and above, you will no doubt have heard of the Ben 10 Cartoon Network show. This cartoon series all about aliens is all the range at the moment and has been since 2005.  The toys associated with the show were recently voted ‘Boys Range Of The Year’ and the action figures won ‘Toy Of The Year’. So if some of these toys end up on your shopping list for a birthday or Christmas, here is a step by step guide to ensure you buy the right ones.
  1. The Omnitrix, which is the watch like device, that transforms Ben into one of his many alien friends, is central to the storyline. As such it is a must-have toy for any Ben 10 fan.
  2. Do not buy any Omnitrix other than the Deluxe or Ultimate versions, as the others may be cheaper but are nowhere near as good. The black Deluxe Omnitrix mirrors the watch in the original cartoon series and the green Ultimate Omnitrix is the new toy to match the updated version from the second series, Ben 10 Alien Force.
  3. Buy a selection of the 10cm action figures. You will get better value for money if you buy the newer Alien Force figures, such as Chromastone, Goop and Big Chill. Those from the original series, such as Cannonbolt, XLR8 and Diamondhead, are hard to find and as such quite expensive. If you currently have no Ben 10 figures, one of the multi packs will offer you great savings on buying a few of these role play figures.
  4. For a 2-in-1 action figure, check out the Creation Chamber figures. These are 6cm figures that come in packs of two. Parts of their bodies can be pulled off and combined with the other alien to create your own unique variety. They offer lots of fun for children but can still be played with as normal aliens too.
  5. If you have a video game console, such as the Nintendo Wii, DS or Playstation, give serious consideration to one of the two video games, ‘Protector Of Earth’ and ‘Alien Force’. They are platform games where your Ben 10 fan can transform from Ben into a variety of aliens, to use their powers to battle baddies. They offer hours of fun for a reasonable price.
  6. For a quieter game, choose from the variety of jigsaw puzzles or stick with an old card favourite, Top Trumps.
