A refrigerator is a refrigerator,Keeping Cool By Choice Articles right? Yes and no. Although many people still think of the refrigerator as a white box in the corner of the kitchen, with a style much like it was twenty years ago, things have changed, and there are now a huge range of styles and designs of fridges on the market to suit any type of kitchen decor you care to mention.

One of the most popular types of refrigerator, and one that has increased in popularity in recent years, is the French door refrigerator. This is especially true of the French door bottom freezer model, which gives easier access to the freezer compartment, and also gives a larger freezer capacity in many cases.

The reason for the popularity of this refrigerator model is that it has double doors which are placed side by side, which means that there is no need to open the whole food compartment in order to get access to the perishable within. The design also helps, with many people seeming to believe that the two-door design adds a touch of class to an otherwise bare looking kitchen.

Another popular type of refrigerator is the counter-depth model, or the under cabinet refrigerator as it is sometimes referred to. This is popular mainly due to the fact that its compact shape makes for a lot of space saving utility in a crowded kitchen. When the counter depth style is mixed with the French door style to give a compact French door refrigerator, the popular appeal is two-fold.

The great things about the compact model which fits beneath the counter and which has French doors is that you can often get some great refrigeration capacity without taking up space, and good looks into the bargain.
