There are basically two main types of charitable trusts to choose from, charitable remainder trust and a charitable lead trust.
Any charitable trust is an organization established for a noble cause. When people join hands for noble cause and devote their assistance for the welfare of the society, it is called a charitable trust.
The Yapp Charitable Trust is one such charitable trust which grants small funds for petty operations, like house hold expenses for elder couples, offering two course meals to small children in kindergartens, paying for medical tests of poor people etc.
Yapp charitable trust was established in the year 1964. It was set up by William Johnston Yapp’s money. They started their operations as Yapp Education and Research Trust and Yapp Welfare Trust and then after 1999, they combined to form one organization called Yapp Charitable Trust. Association of Charitable Foundation or ACF is the mother organization of which the Yapp trust is the member. Yapp Charitable Trust organizes funds through sources like collection of donation from private business firms and government organizations.
The Yapp Charitable Trust organizes small camps for drug addicts. It is often found that small children and teenagers get addicted to narcotics, which result in weakness of mind as well as body. The drug rehabilitation camps organized by Yapp Charitable Trust appoint doctors for treatment of drugs- addicted patients. The doctors and psychiatrist bring the drug addicts back to a normal lifestyle. They help them overcome bad habits of addiction and give them moral support during the painful treatment.
Sometimes small children fall to the vices of theft and robbery. The Yapp Charitable Trust offers help to such children to overcome the wrong habits and direct their minds towards education and other creative activities. They have various kindergarten as well as primary schools to take care of basic educational needs of small children belonging to poor families.
The Yapp Charitable Trust also offers help to people, who have been facing mental stress due to troublesome relationships and other work related pressures. Not only that, they have women rehabilitation centers for helping out women who have undergone dreadful experiences, like rape and sexual abuse. They have also opened corporative organizations, to provide employment to families living a life of penury. Such employment programs provide employment not to one family but they cater to the financial needs of many families simultaneously. Small medical allowances are given to families who are incapable to bear the doctor’s fees. Medical allowances are provided for pregnant ladies who have nobody to take care of them. Women employment centers are also established to make women independent.
