How is NAV Calculated?

NAV is called Net Asset Value.

This is calculated by summing the market value of the investments the company has made till date, the receivables the company is yet to receive, the accumulated income earned by the company and the value of the other assets. Then other expenses including the amount the company is yet to pay and the other liabilities has to be subtracted from the above amount. The resulting value should be divided by the total number of units available as on date. This will give the Net Asset Value of the scheme.
