Boot Camp: Not for Faint-HeartedIf you are looking for a way to jump start your exercise regimen and get yourself ahead of the fitness game, go to fitness boot camp. Why isn’t the class something that just anybody can take? As you would experience in the boot camp of the Army, Marines or elsewhere, criticism can occasionally be harsh. The instructors realize that you are taking the class because you need someone to whip you into shape and kick your butt so to speak. If you signed-up for the class, chances are you did it because you couldn’t get yourself motivated in your other exercise classes. Fitness camps work well for those who aren’t self-motivators when it comes to exercise. Almost like having a personal trainer, instructors for this class will not back down or let you off easily. And, that is putting it lightly. Often the instructors for this class find themselves yelling at their camp-goers. Telling them to push harder, go faster, and go further. The instructions can sometimes be encouraging but will often times be demanding, forceful and non-apologetic. This isn’t meant to be fun in a traditional way. It is definitely meant to be challenging. The good news is most camps have different levels you can sign-up for. If you know that running sprints for fifteen minutes, doing fifty push-ups or doing chin-ups until you cry is not a possibility for you then you can join in at a more reasonable, personal level. Think about starting beginner where the instructor will often go at your pace, have empathy and be more encouraging. Whereas the beginning classes are for those may not be exercise savvy at all, the advanced classes are usually for those that are already physically fit and just need something to push them into a new fitness level. When you get into advanced boot camp, you are looking at a lot of endurance work, muscle building and toning as well as major cardiovascular work. Whatever your level, these classes can be right for you. It isn’t something to fear necessarily, just something to be prepared for. It should be said that all camps are different and not everyone believes the best way to run one is to yell at the participants. Find a class that meets your criteria and needs. The important thing is to exercise regularly and eat healthy. For those courageous souls out there looking for a jumpstart to their fitness regime , then check out a boot camp in your area. You may find that it is the perfect fit for your personality and fitness needs.Article Tags: Boot Camp Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
