As my husband lie in bed on a Sunday morning watching Axe men on TV he announces to me that we will be starting a new health lifestyle in a week. Confused, I asked why a week? He then replies to my astonishment he has purchased P90X using his accumulated EBay points. After two years of telling him, I would love to get this fitness program, he finally orders it. I think to myself, why did he not order it years ago? It dons on me that he is approaching thirty-one and he must be finally feeling it because of his 8-pound weight gain over the holidays. It only took eight pounds for him to order it when for years I have been fluctuating between 10-15 pounds and trying to eat healthy and doing aerobics while he drinks his larger and eats chicken wings every weekend. Whatever his motivations are for ordering this new lifestyle for us, I am thrilled. My good friend has used this system, she has always fluctuated like me, and she literally became ripped. I was impressed, which is why I have been insisting on this for the last two years.
According to P90X website, over 3,174,000 users and counting have been using this system in meeting their fitness goals and now happily I can say 3,174,002 are ready to step up to the challenge. I must confess my slight hesitation because according to my friend it is definitely something you have to commit to and a lot of work. Well, I guess I will step up to the challenge especially if I my body will get ripped as hers did. I am 5’8 and about 150 pounds and look forward to getting my body back that I had in my early twenties. My husband and I are looking forward to increased energy and motivation this will bring into our lives along with a healthier diet. I reminded him he might have to cut back his chicken wing intake. HE says, “Sorry babe that is a necessity”. I guess we all have our priorities.
The P90X system proclaims the workout is best because of muscle confusion and never reaching a plateau in your work regimen. I can definitely believe this because every time I star t my aerobics I lose about 10 pounds and then it stops after doing it for a while. This always frustrates me because I feel like I am doing the work while the results have ceased. For the first time I can say, I am looking forward to a little confusion in my life. Bring it on!
