Recently I had my morning time to pamper myself.  Oh,Pampering the Facial Articles I love these times.  It’s my quite time away from everyone.  It’s my time to be alone and take care of myself.  These times are meditation time that I contribute to My Outer Shell ~ My Temple ~ My Body!  I do not consider myself a beauty model, but I do believe that I have beauty that is pretty.

As I was sitting on the floor in front of my closet mirrors filing my nails, I stopped to look up and see myself in the mirror.  In looking at myself, the passing thoughts set me back reminiscing many years of doing this procedure ~ pampering my facial appearances.

There are various procedures I thought I would jot down and share with you here.  I hear how many people are going for facial plastic surgery because as they age they would like to keep that young look.  Did you know that if you took the time at least once a week, you might not need to get plastic surgery?  And if you did decide to get some type of plastic surgery done, the surgeons love for their patients to do some facial exercises to strengthen their facial muscles before surgery.

Did you know that the facial cheeks do not get that much circulation?  You can apply the tip of your fingers and gently tap them along your cheeks up and down with quick movement; this creates blood circulation.  This also creates color in your face.

Did you know that you can do a simple exercise every morning to assist your facial muscles; keeping the face taut?

When I would cook an egg in the morning, I would take a small amount of egg white and put into a dish.  I would gently whip the egg white and then rub it upon my face.  I would allow this to dry completely.  Sometimes I would allow sitting for a good fifteen minutes to a half hour.  Talk about a good, tight mudding for the facial skin.  This cleans the skin, tightens the skin and the pores and gives a glow.

Did you know that soap is harsh for you facial skin?  A soft cleanser is better for your complexion.

Then you have facial lotions ~ I know there are so many products out there to use and with each skin type difference, you will learn what is best for your skin.  Just remember, a dab is all you need on your face.  The face does not need a lot of anything upon those facial pores.  The least you use, the better you’ll feel.

I am not an individual who likes a lot of make-up on my face.  I can do without the foundations.  But I do like my blush, lip stick/gloss, eye make up.

And I love the sun!  (A kiss of sunshine upon my face makes me know that I am in the right place!)  Something I made up and would sing out loud.  The element of sunshine fuels us with energy and vitamins.

Another procedure I have done since my twenties is my facial vowel exercise. Yes, that’s correct ~ Vowel Facial Exercise.  You say each vowel 10 times; more if you desire.   Really pronouncing the vowel with emphasis and feel the stretch that goes with the mouth movement.  Give each letter a full sounding effect ~ this can bring the focus into place.  Watch yourself in the mirror.  You bring humor within your self which adds smiles and warm vibrations inside.

Your face is the beginning of displaying a part of your character.  Why not enhance a long term benefit to yourself by doing the little things that keep your unique looks youthful.  As you age, these traits present a greater gift to yourself.

In looking at my face, reflecting and realizing my complexion now, I have come to realize the care I have given over the years of time. The gifts I have given myself are displaying a greater reward to my self.   And within the outer gift I am also given an inner gift of self confidence.  When you look and feel good great about your appearance, you carry yourself with grace in age.

Sure I struggle with those silly blemishes, unusual facial hairs that out of the clear pop out, allergies, sensitive skin, enlarged pores and aging but it doesn’t stop me from pampering myself to the fullest.

I have had many compliments over the years in how I look.  As a matter of fact, several months ago my husband and I went to our daughter’s club to go dancing.  Afterwards we went walking around town and decided to stop at another club.  I had to present my driver’s license because they didn’t believe that I could be their mother.  He was embarrassed upon viewing my licenses.  To me, it was definitely a compliment.  I just loved it.

Aging facial skin has many rewards and they all can be given to yourself if you take a little bit of time each day and week by doing a few minor procedures.
