The Lean Body: A State of Mind

Making transformational changes in your body requires transformational changes
in thinking.  If you can dream it you can achieve it.  The lean body may just be a
vision away from happening.

Overview
Researchers have found that the power of visualization and positive belief are as
important as diet and workout programs to the success of training program.
Visualization is the practice of imagining the successful result to improve the
efficiency of the program.

For many people struggling to get lean, lose weight and improve health the
process is mired in the past failures to accomplish the goals.  The mind set that this
is a painful chore that may not achieve results can be the loss of the battle before
it begins.

See it - Achieve it
Visualization uses imagery to change emotions, change feelings and create a
different physical reaction which can create transformational changes in the body
or physical abilities.

There has been research to indicate that the brain sets patterns based upon this
process, that visualization can retrain the way you see the possibility of success.
Athletes have found success in rehearsing an image of hitting new records, winning
the race or game or imaging the medal in their hands.  This creative visualization
process creates new patterns of thinking in the brain and has been shown to have
an impact on the results.

Visualization at Work
The power of positive thinking is a strong tool for the lean body mass program.
It is important to strengthen the development of this practice of belief that results
will happen, to visualize the image of the leaner you.

For many people, this program may be one more in a long history of failed
attempts to manage weight, health and fitness.  It is important to find new
practices to rise above the results of the past.

The constant mind's eye vision of the new you, the leaner body, the reduced fat
level will redirect thinking, will serve to charge the program with new energy and
will ultimately lead to better results.

Can't be Done
For years there was a wide spread belief that the 4 minute mile was the standard
and that getting below 4 minutes would not be possible.  In 1954 that record was
broken by Roger Bannister.  Suddenly, the limits were shifted.  The 4 minute limit
was lifted and today records are broken year on year.

People didn't suddenly get faster, the mental limit was lifted and the belief shifted
and consequently the results happened.

Successful State of Mind
Changing is one of the most difficult things we do.  Lean body building, weight
management and fitness are some of the most important changes we can make.
As the country battles more and more with rising levels of obesity and weight
issues; the need to improve lean mass becomes more critical.  The first step in the
process is to create a strong beliefComputer Technology Articles, to strengthen commitment and to visualize the
results.
