I wrote up this piece to use as a handy reference guide on how to determine the quality of the restaurant you are dining at. Suffice it to say, if any of the below ring true of your establishment…run for it!!

I wrote up this piece to use as a handy reference guide on how to determine the quality of the restaurant you are dining at. Suffice it to say,6 Signs You’re Not in the Best Boston Restaurant Articles if any of the below ring true of your establishment…run for it!!

1.      Dirty Tables: Whenever you are in a restaurant, you expect everything to be perfect from start to finish. If you sit down and your table looks like a toddler just finished eating there, then you are defiantly not in the Best Boston Restaurant.  Sticky tables with enough left overs to feed a third world country should be avoided at all costs.

2.      Warm Water: Nothing is worse than placing an intricate drink order and it getting completely messed up. Well, maybe I lied. The only thing I can think of that would annoy me more would be my water being warm. Drinks are meant to be ice cold and thirst quenching. Also in this category, we need to discuss a server’s ability to be attentive to refills. This one skill shows their competency and customer relation abilities.

3.     Dirty Napkins: Although we have already discussed the general appearance of a table when you enter the restaurant, I would still like to call your attention to one of my major pet peeves when it comes to dining out. This would be of course the dirty napkin. If I am dining at a place that is fancy enough to have cloth napkins, then I expect these napkins to be in pristine condition.

4.     Sneezing Servers: Health and hygiene are the two most important things to look at when evaluating a staff’s competency. If you are dining in a restaurant and your server looks like he or she should be in the emergency room, then I would leave before you catch that nasty little stomach bug. Not only is this category important for you but it is also about the server’s safety and health.

5.      Brown Lettuce: When we talk about brown lettuce, we are not just talking about lettuce that has been left out so long it changes colors. We are also talking about food quality in general. If your food does not look like it was freshly made, that’s a negative. If you cut into your chicken and it looks way, way too pink to be cooked, do not eat it and leave as fast as you can. You are NOT in the Best Boston Restaurant

6.     Smelly Bathroom: This is something that we can all relate to. Everyone and their mom have been to a restaurant that looks charming from the outside and then they go inside only to discover that the bathrooms look like a child attacked. You know what I’m talking about; the toilet paper has been thrown around, the soap has been used to draw on the mirrors, and for some reason there is water everywhere. If for some reason you have been subjected to this torture, please leave because there is no way in hell you are in the Best Boston Restaurant.
