Today, we will be wrapping up our discussion about the admirable service that is received by the customers of Back Bay Restaurants.

 

 In previous weeks, our journey has begun with the greeting of the host in the restaurant, in later articles we touched upon the wonderful suggestions that are made by our server. If you have not been with us in previous weeks, please note that suggestions for entrees and drinks have been given to us, the customer, by our server. Although one would initially assume that suggestions made by our server is something to be expected from a server in any restaurant it can be found that this is opinion is actually quite a delicacy to be served. You see, suggestions for an entrée paired with a drink by a server is the consequence of extensive training. Although a server in any restaurant is trained to some extent, Back Bay Restaurants take the steps necessary to train their servers to be able to define which wines pair with the items best on the menu.

 

 Because of the diversity of Back Bay Restaurant diversity menus, pairing an alcoholic beverage with an entrée is not always an easy task. For example, a classic American style burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup and mustard would pair perfectly with a beer. To take this pairing a step further, a local beer would make the experience of eating this classic American burger even better, defining the basic burger as a “Back Bay” burger. Every time you bite into a burger after enjoying one with a local brew you will be remember the one of a kind experience you had in the Back Bay. As wonderful as this sounds, remember that not every beer goes perfectly with a burger. Because burgers are filling and usually somewhat of a heavy meal a beer with quite a bit of hop and perhaps moderately light colored would be a perfect fit.

 

And remember friends, this is just a burger. When pairing a heavy cheese dish such as carbonara or an alfredo sauce over pasta, it is usually frowned upon to enjoy a beer along with it. This is where the server comes in. With the knowledge of a Back Bay Restaurant server, you will be presented with options of white wine. You see, a white wine will actually accentuate the pasta and white cheese and make the dish taste better than it would without with wine. Not only is color an important factor but the heaviness of the white wine is equally if not more important. For a heavy, cheesy pasta dish a chardonnay is by far the most desirable wine. In conclusion, service is a factor that plays an extremely important role when dining.
