Applebee's seems to be as American as apple pie, mom and baseball. But
wouldn't it be cool to make at home the good food you get served at
Applebee's? What's that you say. What about the the mess and the time
it takes to cook and following directions... What a pain. No, not
really. If you don't cook, it might take a little time to get used to
doing it yourself.
But believe me, it's well worth it. And believe it or not, it's fun!
Plus, your friends and family will be so impressed with the great food
you can create--especially if you've hardly cooked before.
Okay, so you went to Applebee's last night and had their Bourbon
Street Steak and you loved it. And... you have decided you'd like to
cook it at home. The problem is, how are you going to duplicate the
recipe. You're probably not a trained chef, so you probably weren't
able to decipher the recipe by tasting and eating it. So what do you do?
To the internet! Yes, well not so fast. Searching on the exact
phrase - Bourbon Street Steak - brings up 11,500 web pages! Good luck
finding a usable recipe in that humongous pile of data. Even if there
weren't that many pages to sift through, you might find a recipe, but
how do you know it's any good. Especially some of the free recipe
sites, most of them don't test their recipes. Those websites are made
to bring traffic in hopes someone will click on the Google ads all over
the site.
