In the average Providence Restaurant you can find some of the most supreme cuisine Rhode Island has available. There is plenty of appetizing cooking to be had but the vital thing in Providence is finding the finest dining establishments that are sprinkled throughout the entire city. It seems like we have reached the deduction that this city has a lot to offer someone with a refined palette,Choosing a Providence Restaurant Part 4 Articles so now it is time to attempt to grasp what allows some of these first-rate dining hot spots to ascend above the others. As I pointed out in the first of this series of articles, most people seem to be expecting that the primary element I will discuss is the food at these eateries, but this not the case. There are so many things that comprise the dining experience at an Providence Restaurant that are disregarded by lay people. I hope that my sizeable range of knowledge about fine dining and the restaurant industry may permit me to help shed light on the full degree of the dining experience.

In my last entry of this series on how to evaluate a good Providence Restaurant, I examined the initial phase of a dining experience from the importance of good restaurant name to the subtleties which exist in different kinds of menus. In the next entry of this series, I will take a look at appetizers, drink offerings and food presentation.

At this stage in the game, you have settled in, gotten a feel for the restaurant and made some initial ordering from the menu. It is no secret that the food at a restaurant is a pretty important part of the eating experience and I will get to that soon. Before I do, though, it is necessary for me to discuss the service I have been receiving so far. If you are truly in a great restaurant, you should expect water to be served promptly, other drink orders to be taken and, last but not least, there should be bread on the table. Before I go on, it is worth mentioning that I find that bread quality can be very telling about the overall food quality at the restaurant. Good bread may not indicate good service or any other good aspects of a restaurant, but it will often tell you that you will be, at the very least, enjoying a reasonably good meal.

It is difficult to rate all foods across the board without specifying what you are ordering so instead I will talk about presentation for a moment. When your plate comes out of the kitchen and is placed on your table, it is important that the server serves the plate from left to right because this is proper dining etiquette. Also, when they go to clear food from the table, they must clear it from their right side to their left. When the food first comes out, notice the plate they are using. Large square plates and other fancy shaped plates are a good sign of a good restaurant. Also the dish should have certain evenness in its presentation. I do not mean symmetry necessarily but the garnish should be spread artistically across it and the sauce should be in a cool spatter around it.
