I am a self-proclaimed Halal-Lover. And, so is my family. And, I believe, I should include many of my friends and colleagues as well.

And, this very virtue of mine has led me to different parts of the world, exploring and enjoying their own Halal Dishes. However, herein, I am only going to focus on Halal Chicken – the main ingredient/part of hundreds of delicious Halal dishes. So, here goes the Halal Chicken Story.

A large number of restaurants today offer fresh Halal Chicken – both in cuts and whole. So, you buy what you want. The butchers make sure that they adhere to the prescribed Islamic Dietary Guidelines so that the final product remains Halal, and don’t turn into Haraam. Before we go ahead, it’s good to understand what makes the meat products Halal or for that matter, what are the factors which can turn it Haram.

As per the Islamic Dietary Guidelines, the following products are treated as Haram:

a) Pork or Pork by-products

b) Blood

c) Animals slaughtered in the name of anyone but Allah

d) Alcohol and other intoxicants

There are many other products which have been labeled ‘Haram’. All products which are not Haram are Halal. A true Muslim should only eat Halal and refrain from Haram. However, if there is no other option left, he/she is allowed to consume non-Halal food.

Now, I believe this is sufficient as far as talks of Halal and Haram are concerned. So, let’s come to main thing – that how much I love Halal. By the way, have you tasted Halal Kebabs yet? If not, you must. They are so yummy…so delicious…so wow! Find a Halal restaurant nearby and let your taste buds meet the best of Halal dishes. They would thank you for this. However, if you want to do it by yourself at home, it’s good that you order for Halal Chicken. Did I just say, Order? Well, yes, you heard it right. Many restaurants now let people order their favorite Halal dishes online. You just need to log on to the site and place your order. Many come-up with interesting offers at regular intervals. Now, doesn’t all this sound like music to ears? Or, shall I say, doesn’t all this looks like Halal Burgers in mouth? Hey! I want a Burger now. Enough of writing for now!
