In my last article I discussed two warning signs that it might be time to leave the restaurant you are at and search for a better location. In this entry, I have decided to write about one more sign that you need to pay your bill and leave the area immediately because you are in a very bad restaurant.

In my last article I discussed two warning signs that it might be time to leave the restaurant you are at and search for a better location. In this entry,One More Providence Restaurant Warning Sign Articles I have decided to write about one more sign that you need to pay your bill and leave the area immediately because you are in a very bad restaurant. I know some of you are wondering why I chose only six items for this article. The truth is that so much stuff can go poorly while someone is eating out that I feel obliged to narrow it down for people and make this article easier to digest (no pun intended).

So far I have discussed two out of six signs that you are not in a good place. The first sign was a bad smell. While I admit this is somewhat obvious, I pointed it out because I want to touch on the most basic things that can indicate you are at a less than reputable eating establishment. The next sign I talked about was the cleanliness of the restaurant. This is a very reliable sign when it comes to predicting the rest of your experience at the restaurant. A dirty restaurant indicates lazy servers and can pretty much assure that you will have bad service. That bring us to our third sign that you are not in a good restaurant, inattentive service. A restaurant’s service is under review the moment you pick up the phone to make a reservation or check on their hours. It is very easy to tell if the host on the phone is acting cold and uninterested or if they are well informed and nice. This interaction is vital in building or breaking a good relationship with customers. The next time you will interact with a employee will probably be upon entry to the Providence Restaurant.

A host will greet you and that interaction will shape your attitude about the restaurant forever. If you walk into a restaurant and are ignored by a host than that alone is almost a bad enough sign to leave altogether. Another thing to look out for is a host who seems ill prepared or generally incompetent. Some signs of this are that the host may give inaccurate quotes on wait times. Another common error is that the host will be completely unfamiliar about the menu and/or policies of the restaurant such as how to address cancellations and allergies. Next, it is time to look at your server’s skills. This is even more vital to a good experience or detrimental to a bad one. Here are some bad qualities to look out for in your server. First and foremost, if your server is cold, dull, or otherwise unpleasant, this is a very bad sign. One of a server’s most important jobs is making their guests feel welcome. If they are failing at this immediately, it does not bode well for the rest of the evening. Please check in with me for my next article where I continue discussing some more signs that you are in a bad restaurant.
