Everyone wants to have more time with the family these days, but with working, school, and the economy’s attempt to keep us all slaving, getting to the dinner table, the traditional place for proven family camaraderie, is next to impossible. If you have a time carved out for a family dinner, how much of that time will you get to spend actually sitting at the table with the family once you have cooked, served, and cleaned?

Pizza. It is way to get people together, and while the traditional reason to order in is to feed a multitude, your family time together is at risk, and a nice pie in the center of the table will surely bring all the kids around. Finally, a family dinner that you get to participate in. Take the time to sit around the table and chat about everyone’s day. What was each person’s favorite part of the day, what is going on tomorrow in each person’s life? Use the time to play I-Spy with little ones, tell knock-knock jokes, or even get out a board game. Research proves that those families who gather round the dinner table are the families that stay together.

In the hustle and bustle of busy times of year like holidays, tax season, or you oldest child’s stint as an all state wrestler, it can be hard to meet all your responsibilities without giving up things like dinner at the table, and even if you aim only for a few times each week when the family will congregate for dining, use this delivery night as one of your go to dinners. You can even make a tradition of trying to come up with a never before tried combination of toppings. There is no preparation, no stress, and little clean up. The cost is minimal, and you can dine in your pajamas and fuzzy slippers.

Think back to your favorite gatherings as a child. How many times is pizza involved? It is the food that will bring everyone together, and in these times of stress that have us focusing on anything and everything except being together, give pizza night a try. It is low cost, low maintenance, crowd pleasing, tradition making, and yummy. That is a lot of successes for one night.
