Ask the chef for recommendations if you are dealing with a limited pallet of foods. Do this when you arrive, too.

There are simple things you can do to make sure things go right for you when you visit restaurants. Once you give your order, ask the waiter to repeat it back to you especially if you are worried that they missed something or that it was difficult. Be polite when doing so. When you need something, be sure to indicate this to the waiter. He or she may have no idea that you need help unless you alert them. Once you do, be clear about your needs.

Restaurants are often filled with people and many of these people are making mistakes that lead to miscommunications and complications with your experience. The key is to be positive and polite and clear about what you want and need. The better you can do this, the more likely it is that your experience will go well. More so, be sure to let the location know how well they did. They will appreciate it, too.
