Some things, like bread, do in fact take a lot of time and work to create. These items are probably best purchased in the ready-to-eat state, at least most of the time. These items can also be wonderful projects to tackle with the children. Other things are much easier to make than you'd realize. If you're a fan of cheesecake you can make it from scratch for $7 versus the $20 you'd pay to buy already prepared. You'd be surprised how simple these things really are, and you'll love the satisfaction of knowing that you made it. You can enjoy peace of mind when you know that you approve of every ingredient inside the meals you serve to your family.
