Last week we began discussing The Best Boston Restaurants for Gourmet Burgers. We said that burgers are great on their own and it can be difficult to pass up a fatty delicious artery clogging fast food burger, but it can be worth the wait. They can be baked, grilled or pan seared, stuffed, topped and smoldered.

1. Beef, it’s what’s for dinner:

-Once the meat is divided, form your portions into patties. Each patty should be thinly pressed and roughly the size of the buns you will be using. By doing this on a flat surface, you will not be touching the meat as much.

-If you are using another meat, like bacon make sure to cook it first. Many gourmet burger experts also suggest cooking onions and mushrooms before using them as stuffing.
