Certified cleaning technicians not only know how to restore the color and beauty of your carpet,Easy and Simple Means of Carpet Repair Articles but many also are trained in ways to eliminate unsightly problems that can lead to carpet deterioration and the need for early replacement.

For repairing, it is better if you use a waterproof adhesive. Apply some of the adhesive on the exposed parts of the carpet pad and at the back of the substitute piece. Then, spread the adhesive under the surrounding edges of the hole. Press the substitute piece into the hole so that it gets pasted to the carpet properly. While applying the adhesive, care should be taken that it does not get stuck to any of the fibers of the undamaged area. Brush the fibers of the patch as well as the encompassing area so that the joining lines become even with the rest of the carpet. Place some heavy weight over the repaired section and leave it for at least twelve hours to let the glue dry up completely.   You can utilize the leftover pieces of the carpet, usually kept aside after its installation to obtain the right substitute. If you do not have those pieces, do not worry. Take out a piece of the carpet from some hidden areas like the carpet behind your furniture. When you are taking out a replacement piece, make sure its grain runs in the same direction as the cut out piece. You can use the same lid as template to cut the substitute piece that you had used to cut out the damaged piece. Thus, you can get the substitute of exactly the same size. Always keep the shape of the replacement piece either triangular or circular and avoid square or rectangular shape. This is because square and rectangle shaped patches are readily visible.

After the repair job, do not expect the carpet to look as beautiful as the original one. However, it is far better than a damaged carpet. It will also save you a lot of money required for buying and installation of a new carpet.
