Beer left overnight on carpet smells awful! The longer it's allowed to set,Spilled Beer Stain Solution in Doing Carpet Cleaning Articles the harder it is to get up. Beer stains are fairly easy to remove. If the stain is still wet, blot up as much as you can with a clean white cloth or paper towels. Never rub a stain.

Beer stains are not difficult to remove if treated on time. However, the story is whole different if the spilled beer has been left to seep and dry into the carpet fibres.

Here are a few tricks you can use to remove  beer stains from carpet quickly and easily.

Instructions

  1. Use a thick stack of paper towels to blot up the spilled beer. Apply some pressure to the paper towels with your hands so you can get as much beer out of the carpet fibres as possible. Change to clean paper towels as necessary to prevent reapplying beer to the carpet. Once no more beer comes out of the carpet, proceed to the next step.
  2. Combine 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, 1 tablespoon of liquid dish detergent and 2 cups of warm water in a plastic bowl. Use a spoon to stir the solution well.
  3. Saturate a clean cloth in the solution and blot at the area affected by beer, starting from the outside of the stain and working inwards. Use a clean, dry cloth to absorb the solution and beer from the carpet. Repeat the process until the beer stain is removed.
  4. Dampen a clean cloth and dab at the affected area to lift any remaining soap residue or beer. Rinse the cloth frequently while rinsing the carpet.
  5. Once you have removed all traces of beer and cleaning solution from the carpet, place a thick clean cloth on top of the wet area and press t down with a heavy object. This will help draw most of the moisture out of the carpet.
  6. Check the area after a few hours.  If  the carpet is almost dry, remove the pressed cloth from it and let it air dry completely. Otherwise, change to a dry cloth and press it down for another few hours.

If you have completed all other steps and the stain is either faded very much or barely there, fill a spray bottle with warm water and lightly spray that water on the stained area. Take out your washcloth, a clean one, and begin scrubbing the area in a circular motion. This will help loosen up the stained area if anything is left over.

If the smell of the beer is still prevalent you can sprinkle a little bit of carpet freshening powder over the area. Then place a fan over the wet part of the rug in order to rapid dry it. Once it is completely dry and free of cleansing agents use a vacuum to remove any excess detergent or carpet powder.
