You could also develop blood clots, especially in the leg, which is why you are often advised to walk around a little after surgery. A hematoma, which is a broken blood vessel, may also occur, as well as seroma, or fluid that collects under the skin. One of the most common risks unique to breast augmentation is capsular contracture, in which the tissue squeezes the implants too hard, growing around them tightly. This can result in breasts that feel unnaturally hard, and implants that leak. You will need to get revision surgery in many cases, though some doctors can simply massage them or inject steroids into them in order to fix the problem.
