As an added benefit, the results of this style of work often last significantly longer than the others. Unfortunately, with such large cuts there is much more swelling and bruising and a considerable amount more healing that must happen afterwards. Also, for people with receding hairlines or those with thinning hair it is far more difficult to hide the scar, which contradicts the aesthetic aims of having this done.
