You’ve finally saved up enough money to have a breast augmentation. After years of padding your bra with Kleenex or wearing push-up devices that were downright painful,Can They Tell You’ve Had Breast Augmentation? Articles you’ve finally taken the plunge. You did everything right. You looked at “before and after” photos and considered a variety of sizes in order to find the best fit for your body type. Your doctor loaned practice implants to you to wear in your bra, out in public, under clothing in order to test the sizes. You took a month off of work to “visit your sister” in another state. And now you’re healed up and ready to go back to work. Will your co-workers, next-door neighbors and that guy you’re interested in dating notice anything different about you? Here are some things to think about.

Proper size: If you did your homework and have chosen a size that adds sexy curves yet does not make you look like a Las Vegas showgirl, chances are that your homework will pay off. Most people don’t notice the exact size of a person’s bosom in the first place. They may notice if they appear unnatural but other than that, it will just seem that the outfit a person’s wearing is flattering, or not. It is especially wise to not wear plunging necklines in the early days post surgery if you’re trying to remain discreet about the procedure. Most people will suddenly think you’ve “lost weight” or “look rested.” They may comment on the fact that that blue blouse is just so flattering.

Incision site: Incisions for placing breast implants can be in the armpit, beneath the curve of the breast, via the belly button or directly under the deeper hued nipple/areola. All of these sites are specifically chosen to hide the scar. Unless a woman has a problem with adverse scarring tendencies, chances are that no one will notice, especially in clothes.

Type of implant: Implants come in a variety of sizes, protrusions, shapes, textures, and may be filled with saline or silicone. A new type called gummy-bear implants, have appeared on the market, as well. The traditional silicone devices are reportedly the most naturally feeling. The saline and gummy-bear types are said to be a bit firmer than natural glandular tissue but there are some pros to the two types, as well. The saline solution is very similar to bodily fluids so is a completely safe choice. The gummy-bear implants are said to have fewer problems with capsular contractions and rupture.

Older women: As a body ages, it will naturally sag a bit. Late middle aged or elderly women with breasts that protrude like torpedoes may be dead-give-aways for boob job recipients. This is especially true if all other body parts have given way to gravity. If an older woman has kept herself in excellent shape, however, she may appear so youthful that the young bust line appears natural even at her age. Better yet, people may not even realize how old she really is.

Breast augmentation results are extremely natural looking these days. If a woman chooses not to tell, others may not ever know the truth.
