Needless to say avoiding the bad is a good idea but good carbs provide our bodies with nutrition and above all, much needed energy. This article will inform you which carbohydrates you need and which carbohydrates need to be avoided, therefore ensuring quick weight loss:

1. Here are some of the foods that contain carbohydrates that you need to avoid: Generally, processed foods are packed with carbohydrates and these fall into the bad bracket, the foods in their raw form do contain nutrition that could be used but much if not all of this is lost during the processing leaving nothing but empty calories that will help in nothing more than making you fat!

Foods that fall into this category are; White bread, pasta, cakes and biscuits, sodas, chocolate, candies and chips but to name a few. If you are serious about losing weight you must avoid all of these foods. Many processed foods contain high levels of sugar and sugar is extremely high in calories meaning than the more sugar you eat the more weight you will gain, they are also lacking in nutrients and fiber making them very easy for the body to convert into fat deposits.

2. Carbohydrates that benefit you, and therefore classed as good carbohydrates: These are found in raw fruits, seeds, whole meal pasta, wholegrain bread and vegetables. The carbohydrates found in these foods are slow burning carbohydrates. They take a lot longer to digest meaning more calories are burned in the digestion process plus they contain a lot of natural fiber that acts as a natural appetite suppressant, making you less hungry, and therefore you do not put on weight.

Always remember that with most food groups there are specific good and bad foods; carbohydrates, as just outlined are no different. Your body requires certain levels of each in order to remain healthy; omitting carbohydrates from your diet completely will make you feel lethargic, tired and suffer from mood swings, eating the right carbohydrates can and will only result in weight loss and high energy levels.
