In high school, Dexter starred as a running back and ran a 4.20 in the forty meter dash, which was one of the fastest in the country at that time. Dexter wanted to go to college but his girlfriend became pregnant and he decided to take care of his family instead. After his girlfriend got kicked out of her house, she and Dexter got an apartment and he worked as a cook at a local restaurant. At the age of 20, Dexter`s friends talked him into entering a contest. He trained and dieted for three weeks and easily won because of his superior genetics.
