Fast weight loss

Why are people so harsh, punitive and "disgusted" that there may be a pharma treatment that finally works to cure obesity. Can't you get over your judgements and just rejoice that there might be something to help millions of people lead healthier lives that can only benefit ALL of us in terms of lower healthcare costs and improved quality of life all the way round that leads to healthier relationships etc... Hell's bells some of the people who post on here are the grumpiest, stingiest, closed minded posters in the world. Be happy for obese people that they may have some hope and make a change. No one seems to begrudge smokers Nicorette or drinkers emetic drugs that make them puke if they take a sip of alcohol etc... People must get over segregating obese people from the rest of the population; it is a very ignorant way of thinking. Weight is not just behavioral (laziness or emotional eating), but also physical (medical conditions or medications), and for some, a life long struggle. I am a big-boned, 5' 10" curvy woman who needs to lose 50 more pounds. I recently experienced workplace discrimination due to my size. Although I have lost 35 pounds, it is a slow process due to my thyroid condition. As a parent, I have raised two adult sons whom are both actively working on their college degrees to keep this great country safe. My youngest son will graduate as an Officer in the US Army. It makes me sick that people think they are superior to someone who has a weight problem, knowing that both of my children reach out to protect EVERYONE, in the same way that in my career working as a healthcare professional, I do not discriminate about who I help to care for. Put your own family in the shoes of someone who has faced discrimination of any type and I think that you will changed your closed mind.
