  • There should also be routine physical exercises that are approved by the doctor for:
a) Lowering the level of cholesterol and blood glucose
b) Improving the circulation of blood
c) Attaining the ideal weight that is targeted
d) Livening up the sensitivity of insulin
e) Strengthening the bones, heart and toning the muscles.
f) Unwinding for getting stress relief and making a person feel better.

2. Medications must be taken as per the schedule. This is the most common of all diabetes treatment guidelines. If medications are taken improperly, the blood vessels and nerves may be damaged. This may also result in various heart problems, gum infection and leg and feet problems.

3. Blood glucose should be constantly monitored for equipping with the important information in the management of diabetes on a daily basis. The complications related to diabetes will also be reduced. Normally, checkups are done after every two hours. When a person is under insulin injection, monitoring is done thrice a day.
