  • High-density Lipo-protein

HDL is responsible for picking up LDLs in the bloodstream in order to be processed by the liver. Thus, ideally, the body should have more HDLs in the bloodstream rather than LDL.

Triglycerides

Triglycerides is a compound that is crucial to the balance of LDL and HDL in the body. Sometimes, even if there is high LDL levels in the body,heart disease is still not a risk for certain people. That is because they do not have much triglycerides in their body. On the other hand, even if you have high HDL levels in the body and low LDL, if you have high triglyceride levels then you are still at risk of developing heart diseases.
