  • The tendency to be bruised easily.
  • Internal bleeding--but this is rare. This could be caused by too much toxicity with Vitamin A which only happens when you take in fish oil extracted from the liver of a cod.

Treating an Overdose

When you are experiencing any of these symptoms right after you have consumed fish oil, it should be addressed. Remember, problems such as these are small in nature but can accumulate only when you have disregarded them instead of taking care of them.

The best way to go is to seek a physician’s advice and have yourself checked out. They could be symptoms of something else, but it is best to be sure rather than uncertain. If there is any problem, the physician can give you something to alleviate or remove the symptoms entirely over a period of time.

Be sure to take in only a reasonable amount and avoid abusing the product because, even though they are supplements, they can still cause problems when ingested improperly.
