You must however remember that you do not need to starve yourself to lose weight and neither should you ignore your cravings too much. This will help you to understand the difference between the calorie that you have taken in and the calorie that you have burned.

Weekly Monitoring – Try to make short goals in order to achieve your goal, start with one week. Then after the initial period if you find that there is a change in your weight, then you can pursue this method and routine further. Try and lose a pound in a week.

Avoid Overeating – Overeating can have an adverse effect on your diet plans and hence do try and limit your food intake. Do not go for second servings in your meals, and always drink 3 to 4 liters of water daily. Spend more time in shredding and dicing fruits and vegetables into smaller portions to make salads. You can save yourself from habitual overeating by following these tips.

Eat Right – You must chew your food to a pulp before swallowing so that saliva gets completely mixed with it. Also, make sure to drink water half an hour before eating and then an hour after your meals. If you follow these rules, you will help your metabolism with the best chance of digestion.

Drinking the Right Way – Make sure not to gulp down the whole glass of water in one go, instead drink water in sips. Try to mix as much of your saliva with it before taking it down, the reason being that saliva contains enzymes which assist in digestion.
