There seemed to be a generalized thought process for a long, long time that these parts were not necessary very simply because modern science could not figure out purpose for the tonsils and the appendix. In the tradition of modern medicine it became the rule of thumb that if you had a problem with either of these two parts then you could very simply just have them taken out.

In the tradition of modern medicine it became the rule of thumb that if you had a problem with either of these two parts then you could very simply just have them taken out. Taking out a part that doesn't work right just seems barbaric and yet this is the way these parts were seen by medical doctors for decades as disposable, useless parts.

Medical information is constantly being updated and what used to be normal is now being questioned, such as the removal of these organs, just because that is the usual prognosis. New research is showing that these seemingly unimportant organs are part of the important immune system that plays a vital role in our overall health and new reasons why fewer and fewer of these organs are being removed, just because.

Frequent, persistent sore throats however, tend to lead doctor's to the fact that the tonsils should be removed and when the sore throats are coupled with snoring well then the adenoids are going too. Essentially the thought process behind this is absurd and with so many people suffering with these problems it seems that there must be a way to allow individuals to keep their tonsils and allow them to continue to fight the battle for immunity without ripping them out.

Tonsil and adenoid inflammation usually indicates a problem exists and the inflammation is just the the way the body is telling you that there are problems associated with the immune system. If these secondary body organs are removed, the health doesn't improve but you have managed to silence forever one of the body's alarms.

Tonsils, adenoids and including the appendix are comparable to a fire alarm battery; if you remove the battery, the fire alarm can no longer warn you of impending danger that needs your attention. It just doesn't make any sense to silence such an important part of the immune system because of the discomfort it might cause and even more alarming is the fact that your health is actually no better with these parts gone and you in factual reality are less healthy than before the operation and removal. Having all the facts beforehand makes dealing with anything easier.
