An article on medical treatment and hospitals in India....

India is a large country with over 100 billion people. India is on wave of technological and industrial revolution, the country has a large population of people living below the poverty line. The need for health care facilities is therefore required on large scale.   The poverty stricken populace hence cannot afford costly treatment and rely on sub standard medical clinics for treatment.

But things are changing fast in India and affordable clinics for treatment of various diseases are coming up fast. These clinics or hospitals have modern treatment facilities and qualified doctors and experts.

Besides modern medical treatment the country has its own indigenous medical system called “Ayurveda”. This ancient system of medicine is still in practice today and very popular as well. Ayurveda system of medicine offers both curative and preventive treatments through usage of natural products such as herbs, shrubs, oils and even some metal powders.

Homeopathy is very popular in India and is one of the cheapest methods of treating various diseases. There are large numbers of doctors who practice this system of medicine in India. There are many more systems of medicine in the country but they do not conform to acceptable method of practice and are termed as quacks.

The infrastructure of medical facilities is comparable with the best in the World. Most modern facilities are situated in and around urban centers with rural areas having basic minimum facilities. There is no lack of expertise amongst physiciansScience Articles, surgeons and allied health providers in the land.

With growth in hospitals and establishment of modern facilities surgical treatment is available for all minor and major diseases. There are many clinics that offer non surgical treatment for various diseases especially in case of heart treatment.  Due to low cost of treatment many patients from different countries are having treatments in India. This is also known as medical tourism.

India is a recognized hub for medical tourism since the cost of the treatments is affordable. In spite of low costs the land does not lag behind in expertise and World class infrastructure in hospitals and clinics.
