Hemorrhoids come in three different types, though most of the treatments to heal them work for them all. There are Internal hemorrhoids, prolapsed hemorrhoids and external hemorrhoids. Internal involve the veins in your rectum, prolapsed can stretch down and bulge outside your anus while external are just that, involving veins outside the anus. They can be caused by increased pressure in the anal area. This can be caused by constipation or diarrhea.

Hemorrhoids come in three different types,Natural Options to Heal Hemorrhoids Articles though most of the treatments to heal them work for them all. They can also be caused by any activity causing you to strain, heavy lift for example.  Lastly, obesity can be a factor in developing hemorrhoids.

There are several ways to heal hemorrhoids besides surgery.  They can be helped by following a few simple lifestyle changes to start with.  Diet can play a big part in your hemorrhoids, try to eat more fiber.  You may want to try a fiber supplement or stool softener.  Try to eliminate greasy, fatty food and increase fruits and vegetables.  Water also plays a big part in easing hemorrhoidal  suffering; drink at least 8 to 10 glasses a day.  Regular exercise has also been shown to help.

Taking warm sitz baths may help as will many of the over the counter creams and ointments available to treat them such as Nupercainal and Annusol.  Cold compresses or ice packs also help with pain and swelling especially after bowel movements.

Many herbs/supplements can also help your hemorrhoids.  Aloe Vera gel is helpful when apply around and even slightly in the rectum.  Just make sure to take off any green part of the plant first.  Flax and psyllium seeds ground into a powder and drank mixed in a liquid help to form a softer easier stool to pass.

If you experience more than some discomfort or any bleeding from your hemorrhoids, you should see your doctor.  He or she can also advise you about some topical creams that he can prescribe, treatment with lasers that burn the hemorrhoids off, freezing them off with liquid nitrogen and rubber band ligation witch cuts off the blood supply to the hemorrhoid and causes it to die and fall off.  Of course, as a last resort, there is surgery to heal hemorrhoids and if none of the above helps you, it may be an option.
