For many years school systems were unprepared to deal with many serious health conditions including asthma. Asthma is such a common health condition among children that it was imperative that the schools be equipped with a medical device that would deliver medication to those living with asthma. The medication primarily has to be delivered in aerosol form so that it can simply just be breathed in straight to the lungs in order for it to begin to work and decrease the asthmatic symptoms. The only medical device that is capable of making the medicine into aerosol form is actually a nebulizer. A nebulizer is a health and medical device that is specifically manufactured in order to take the medicine and transform it into the shape that actually just can be breathed in by the person. The entire process actually only takes a few minutes and takes a couple of simple steps. The first step is that the child’s parents actually get the prescription filled for them and can submit that prescription actually to the school nurse or health facility. At that point the nurse will be notified when they need to administer the medicine to the child and all they need to do is put it inside the nebulizer and then within a few minutes it is ready to use. What they have to pay particular attention to is actually putting in the right amount of the product in order for it to work effectively. The great thing about the nebulizer is the fact that it actually is quite portable and affordable. The portability is such that it can be easily taken by them wherever they desire to go and it is quite affordable because of the advancement in technology. It is a critical part of any school system and should be available to all those who are in need of it.
