Aging is one of the topics that human being has not understood fully. Because it happens to every one of us, most people just take it the way it is. It is constant and predictable process that involves changes and development in an organism or object over time. It consists of a set of processes that it cannot be referred to as a single event.

Foods can exist as long as certain conditions are met. Human body is no different. Shelf-life determines how long the food will remain in its best quality. Without protected in its storage, it can quickly deteriorate before the expiration date is over.

Human body, in theory, can endure over 100 years of life. However, the genes, environmental influences and lifestyle can seriously modify life expectancy of a human being. Lifestyle expectancy has increased over the years to about 68 years. Life expectancy is affected by many factors. Exposure to high level of air pollution, obesity, quality of health care, diet and exercise, all affect how long we live.

Besides the factors mentioned above, genes also contribute to aging. Good cellular repair may slow down the process. How fast people age varies from one person to another. Hereditary traits play a crucial role in that.

Around the age of 30, aging process begins to take place. Hereditary traits, which are determined by specific genes, begin to develop as the body's preparation is reduced. At the same time, when immune function is reduced, various disorders begin to develop readily.

Simply put, aging happens in human bodies as soon as we stop developing. The rate of which it occurs will increase exponentially as time goes by. Besides physical change, aging also includes of slow reaction time with age, psychological and social change.

The effects of aging are the same in every individual. There is little you can do with the process itself, but at least you can preserve your body by identifying and tackling the specific issue.
