How To Trade Your Disney Pins With Others

Once you have your Disney trading pin collection put together, the next step is to start trading them with others who also have a collection. You will most probably end up with lots of pins that you do not want. Furthermore, you will also need pins to complete your collection. You can buy those pins online or in a Disney store. But it is a lot more fun to go ahead and trade the pins you do not want with other collectors who have pins you do want.  The place to find these traders is in the Disney theme parks.

When you go to the theme parks, you need to look for those individuals that are wearing a lanyard with Disney trading pins on them.  Now of course you should also be wearing your lanyard that displays all your pins.  What you do is find a Disney cast member, as employees are called, who is wearing a Disney lanyard with Disney trading pins on them. You look over the lanyard to see if there are any pins that you need for your collection. Then, you pick out the pin you want and trade it for one of yours.  It's that simple. You can trade up to two pins per cast member. The nice thing about this is that the cast member will trade with you as long as you have pins to trade.  It does not matter whether they want your pin or not. Please keep in mind that the pins you offer to trade have to be genuine pins that have the Disney logo on the back.  You can also trade with other guests who are wearing a lanyard with Disney trading pins on them. However, that guest will probably only trade with you if you have pins they want. There is no obligation on their part. It will be the same with you.  You will only trade the pins you do not want. If you find a pin that the guest has and they see one of yours that they want, you have a trade. If there is a pin that you want and the other trader just does not want any of your pins, you can offer to purchase a pin from a Disney store that the other person wants. Then they will give you the pin you want for the one you purchased.

As you can see, this can be a lot of fun and a great way to meet other people while also growing your Disney trading pin collection. There are some rules to follow though.  You must always be courteous and polite.  Do not be pushy with anyone. If a Disney cast member is trading with another guest, wait until they are through before you start looking. If you are trading with another guest and that person does not want to trade, do not be pushy or insistent. If they say no, then just move on to someone else. As already stated, your pins must all be genuine Disney trading pins with the Disney logo on the back. With a cast member, you do not have to worry.  All their pins will be genuine. With a fellow guest, you may want to check the back of the pin to be sure.  The cast members wearing a lanyard can be walking around or they can be working in a store.  If you do not see anyone wearing a lanyard, you can always ask in the store as sometimes they keep lanyards with pins on them behind the counter. As you can see, this hobby can be a lot of fun and give you something interesting to do in the Disney theme parks.
