Layton was settled in 1850 but was not established as a city until 1920.  19,144 houses provide residences for 64,311 people.  25% of the population rents their home and the median income is $63,732.  There are many different neighborhoods from lower end starter homes to established family houses.

The climate in Layton has tons of variety for the four seasons.  Rainfall is normally about 25 inches and snowfall is somewhere around 56 inches annually.  The temperature in the summer will be a high of about 92 degrees and in winter it will be a low of about 19.

Layton Real Estate numbers decreased like many of the other Utah homes.  Average sold prices for last quarter were about $225,000.
