One good way to save money is to start with the things that aren't going to cost much to replace. For instance, change out the bath mats and the shower curtain and see how things look. Put up some decorations and see how they change the room. You might be surprised at how these things change your perception. If you can be happy with what you've got, you can avoid the expense of bathroom remodeling altogether.

There's nothing wrong with getting a few different quotes on the work you want done. While it's sometimes a mistake to entrust your bathroom remodeling project to the cheapest company in town, there's no need to purposely seek out the most expensive company either. Get some quotes and decide what fits into your budget.
