Even with such skills available to you, there are limits in terms of how little you can get away with spending. You'll still be left buying materials, which means that any improvement is likely to require a budget being made available. In fact, this will certainly be the case, if you're looking to do anything remotely substantial.

This almost always leads you to think about your financial situation. It might be nice to have some extra space, or to have the layout of your home improved, but do you actually have enough money available to make such changes? If you're really struggling to make money, then this may not be an option at all.

It's likely, however, that it would be possible to make changes. The only problem is that you'll need to alter your lifestyle and reduce spending elsewhere. Is this actually something that you are even prepared to do? The answer is likely to depend upon your desperation for having those improvements in place.

It may actually be a question of deciding between a family holiday and that new double glazing. One is likely to be more important in the short-term, but the other is likely to offer benefits over a greater period of time.
