Clean Up the Clutter With a Storage Box or Small Shed

After ten years living in the same house my wife and I were beginning to have a storage problem. Some was easily remedied, just throw it away. I had tended to keep all the boxes that came with electrical goods and so on; some of these I kept for packaging but the rest went in the skip. The garage also had become a dumping ground for this overspill but was by necessity also used for storing the lawnmower, wheelbarrow and garden tools. It was time to clean up the clutter.

Computer Technology ArticlesWe decided that a small shed would solve our dilemma and could fit nicely into a corner of the yard. As I'm a bit of a DIY enthusiast I decided to build one myself having already made a storage box in an initial attempt to clean up the clutter earlier in the year. I'd made the storage box using a set of plans that I had bought off the internet and they included several small shed plans.

Not only were there plans for other woodworking projects but everything from storage boxes to a covered patio!

As I did not need to prepare any foundations (already concrete and level) or need a building permit (always check) it was just a matter of buying the wood and fixings. My set of plans will came with a detailed list of wood cuts and so I was able to get my timber cut to size at the wood yard leaving me just to put it all together.

I had my small shed built and painted in a couple of weekends and our storage problem solved - for a year or two at least.
