Its a divider which connects and separates a house from the surrounding and hence need to be strong as well. As well planned is half done, we need a thorough planning for entrance before settling for a perfect design keeping in mind the look and the strength. Not to be forgotten is the power of vaastu sastra.
Now a lot of things on your shoulder, we will make it easier for you to choose  a design. Here are a few contemporary entrance designs, ready to inspire you in one way or the other.

1. Architectural blend

The entrance is a blend of English and Indian architecture. While the beige walls with carved out horizontal lines and windows give the house an English touch, the polished wooden doors elegantly speaks about the Indianness. Door is fixed at a certain depth and height  allowing space for the stairs, giving a highlight to the entryway. The look of the entrance is warm and inviting with potted plants dotting the steps and windows.

2. Touch of wood

A perfect inspiration for a medium sized villas. Instead of steps to reach the door, a flat rising has been created which also allows an entrance bench. The doors are done in classic wood, reflecting a luxurious look.

3. Spacious grandeur

The entrance here is huge and wide with rooms settling in the depths. The house seems to have created a niche for itself in the midst of  grass carpet and swimming pool. The spacious veranda welcomes the guest with a sofa arrangement.

4. A grand welcome

Elegance knows no bounds with the  entrance done in a minimalist way. The front porch ends with two large barrel shaped potted plants, giving a warm welcome. The double door entrance is done in dark brown colour contrasting the steely porch and white timber walls. Efficient lighting flanking the doors accentuates the richness of the entrance.

5. Inspired minimalism

This is a view of  a peaceful entrance done in a minimalist way. The front porch gives way  to geometric door and walls. Horizontal and vertical pattern for the entrance catches the eye even without any grand arrangements around.

6. Exquisite colour palette

The colour palette used for the entrance has amplified the effect of natural  light flowing in. The golden marble steps works as a highlighter for the rustic grey walls. Infact, the contrasting brown and golden shade has been used meticulously to balance out the grey shade. Concrete marble flooring makes the porch stand out.
