I’m a do-it-yourself nut and over the years I’ve found that the quickest way to get any job done is to start out with a good set of plans. By following professionally designed plans you can save time and money and the end results are far superior to those achieved by doing it off the top of your head.

We have lived in the present house for just over twelve years and the wife decided it was time for a clear out. We managed to fill a skip but were still left with quite a lot of stuff that needed to be stored elsewhere,Do-It-Yourself Shed Plans - Save Time and Money With DIY Shed Plans Articles so I decided I need to build a storage shed in the backyard.

An hour on the internet gave me all the information I needed to get started. Most important was to check whether a building permit was required and before building began make sure that I prepared a good sound foundation on which the shed would stand.

I already had a whole set of plans that I’d found on the internet with instructions on how to build literally hundreds of different designed sheds. The great thing about using plans is that they include an inventory of all the wood and fixings required.

As your plans will give you all the wood measurements you can buy it cut to size leaving you to just fix everything together. If you are cutting your own timber remember to ‘measure twice, cut once’.

With professionally designed do it yourself shed plans to follow you will save on your material costs and cut your working time, your new shed could be up and ready to use in just a couple of weekends.
