I’m a do-it-yourself nut and over the years I’ve found that the quickest way to get any job done is to start out with a good set of plans. As your plans will give you all the wood measurements you can buy it cut to size leaving you to just fix everything together. If you are cutting your own timber remember to ‘measure twice, cut once’.
