No,Does Your Memory Foam Mattress Smell? Get Rid Of It! Articles don’t get rid of the mattress! Get rid of the smell! People who own memory foam mattresses are always a little hesitant to clean them and rightly so. Most of the mattresses are very expensive and no one wants to ruin something that costs so much.

So what do you do? You clean it that’s what. Memory foam can be cleaned and in this article we will be talking about how you can do just that.

The first step to getting rid of odors in your memory foam is to take the foam and put it in the shower. If it’s too big for the shower then you can take it outside near the garden hose.

What you want to do is get an empty spray bottle and fill it with a mixture of 1 parts fabric cleaner (particularly Woolite) and 2 parts water. Then spray the memory foam all over with this solution.

Let is sit on the foam for 30 minutes. When that 30 minutes is up you can rinse the foam down with the hose or shower head.

To remove excess water from memory foam you need to fold it over and use light pressure to push down on it. Do NOT twist it!

Next you want to take the same spray bottle and fill it with 1 part vinegar and 4 parts water. Spray that all over the foam.

Once you have it sprayed then you can rinse the vinegar solution off and remove the excess water.

You can use an electric fan to aid in the drying process.
