If you've wanted a change in your surroundings but are not looking to relocate anytime soon,Home Remodeling: Making a Difference For Less Articles home remodeling could bring just the new environment you crave. Changing things up can make a big difference in how your view your house, and, if done right, can add substantial resale value to the property. Of course, it can also be expensive. For this reason, many homeowners put off making changes and upgrades until they are absolutely necessary. But some changes can be done for less than you probably think. With some creativity, you can have change you'll love on even a very tight budget.

The Kitchen

While many people don't have friends over and seat them right next to the refrigerator, the average homeowner spends a lot of time in the kitchen, and it is often a room that is visible from the living room or other space where guests would be entertained. For these reasons, the kitchen is often one of the first targets for home remodeling. While replacing everything in the room, upgrading your lighting, and putting in a new floor will certainly cost a lot, you don't have to go to those extremes to give your kitchen a facelift. Just changing out the faucet and cabinet handles will cause you to look at your kitchen in a new way. For a few hundred more, you can update your lights, and it will look as though you spent thousands.

The Bathroom

The bathrooms in your house are another prime target for home remodeling projects. If you want to knock down walls and expand your space, you're going to be in to the project for a decent chunk of change. But if you just want to freshen things up a bit, you can do it for very little money. Changing out the toilet seat, replacing the shower curtain, and putting in a new sink could make it feel like an entirely new bathroom. If you want to put in a new tub, it's going to cost some money, but it may not be as much as you think.

Paint

Paint is the lifeblood of home remodeling. If you want to feel as though you moved into a new house without actually doing so, a paint job is the way to go. You can paint inside and out, choosing colors that complement your furniture (or buying new furniture to complement your paint job). While professionals are often the best way to go for outside painting, you can tackle indoor jobs on your own. Set aside a few days to redo a room, tape off the baseboards and light switches, and get to work!
