Assess the problem

If you get up in the morning and take out toothpaste, makeup, cleansers, lotions, etc., and don’t put them back in place after you’re done, you’re going to come home to a mess. At the time, it may just seem like a couple of items here and there, but after a week or so, you’ll have a huge pile of stuff all around your home or apartment. Get a system
After you get a handle on all that you’re doing to add to the confusion, you now need to put some type of system in place. One of the first things to do is create a place for everything, big or small. So for example, if you come in the house with tons of mail, sort the junk, and then make sure you have some type of drawer or box to place bills and other things you plan to keep. Also, when you get home, don’t just stop time you get in. Make your way to your closet so you can kick off shoes, hang up clothing and set down bags or brief cases. This alone can make a noticeable difference in how neat or unorganized your place looks. Just by consistently following a few rules and adhering to a little system, house cleaning will get easier and easier.

Take action
One of the most important things you have to do when it comes to house cleaning is following through with what you say you’re going to do. You can write out the most dynamic plan ever, but if you don’t actually do it, you’ll never reach your goals. Again, keep in mind that no one really wants to spend time straightening up, but think about how good you feel when your home is nice and neat. So stop thinking and start doing. Before you even realize it, you’ll be finished and can move on to more exciting things.
