House cleaning can be drudgery or it can be fun. If it’s a regular aspect of your daily life,House Cleaning - Ways To Make It Fun Articles why not make it enjoyable?

Some of the best ways to make this a joyful experience are with music, friends, an attitude adjustment and the reward system. House cleaning can be a thankless, monotonous chore or it can be downright fun.

- Musical ideas: Some foot stamping tunes can make anyone feel more lively and energetic. Right? Probably not waltz numbers, unless you want to glide around with a mop as your partner. Music that’s energizing, danceable and has a good beat will be perfect. Some ideas include Jimi Hendrix’s low voice and masterful guitar playing. Foxy lady! Get that house tidy. Or how about Donna Summers, Cher, Rolling Stones or the Beastie Boys. Get those dancin’ shoes on and have some fun.

- Friends: Everything is more enjoyable if shared by others, right? Well, usually. A couple of ways house cleaning can bring amigos into the mix include a swap out clean-a-thon. For example, four friends can rotate whose dirty apartment they will neaten up. Eight hands will make short work of vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing and sheet changing. What a great time to catch up on gossip and the chores at the same time. Another idea is a housecleaning party. Invite all your friends to bring a cleaning tool or product to your house where you’ll supply the drinks and snacks when it’s all done. Or even more fun is a “maid” and “butler” costume party. Have everyone dress like maids and butlers and neaten up the abode while dressed up. Photos of the guests performing household chores in their dress-up attire will be fun to take home as souvenirs.

- Attitude adjustment: This is like a house cleaning gratitude activity. Look around your dwelling and take note of all the wonderful comforts your home-sweet-home offers to you and yours. Get your cleaning caddy and bow down to each appliance and chore with reverence. “Oh, bath tub, thank you for allowing me to soak each night in order to de-stress.” Then scour it. “Oh, kitchen table, thank you for holding my dinner dishes full of food.” Then polish it. You get the idea. Plus, when a home is all cleaned up, chances are that all inhabitants will love it and be that much more grateful for it. Gratitude and a good attitude work wonders.

- Reward system: One of the easiest ways to motivate yourself is with a reward system. This is like training your puppy to potty outside or training your kids to pick up their rooms. The puppy gets a milk bone and the kids get to play video games. This reinforces their good behavior. In order to reward your inner cleaner, make a deal with yourself. For example, every hour of tidying brings a treat such as a piece of chocolate or a mindless TV show. For tidying up the whole house, a pedicure or dinner out may be in order.
