Having good curtain can make the difference between your home and your neighbor's home provided that your homes are similar and identical.

Curtains are the most crucial part of your home décor whether you talk about your lounge,How to choose curtain? Articles dining room or even your bedrooms, kitchens and bath rooms. You cannot let the windows remain bare without draping them with those sleek, velvety and luxurious curtains.

 

When you are going to buy curtains always think of how much the light is required in your home. If you want a brighter house, go for a curtain that is visibly thin. Definitely it will suites your taste and can be an ideal curtain for your home. Talking about weak or sheer fabric, they pass extra light in the house. The common material is cotton with decorative laces and polyester textile voile to give a unique look. But unfortunately weak curtains fail to protect against direct sunlight.

 

Thicker fabrics are always recommended if you prefer curtains that provide good protection against sunlight. On the other hand, sunlight protection can be gained with the help of coated fabric curtains which allows visibility to remain but restrict the sunlight. Bordered curtains can be the best choice as they are manufactured with uncoated and encased fabrics which are more durable. Other than impeding out the sunlight, it can assist to stop dirt as well. These curtains can be helpful in stopping noise to some extent. 

 

Here are some types/styles of curtains:

 

Pencil Pleats - are folds that are closely gathered to resemble a row of pencils that are laid "side by side." They are made by getting/pulling the cords on heading tape and then winding around a tidy cord that will keep the pleats in its place. They are made in a traditional style.

 

Tab top - you can only use these if you have curtain poles. Loops of fabric are stitched to the top of the curtains.

 

Eyelet - These are more suitable when you have curtain poles and row of eyelets which are usually metal. They give softer and wider folds.

 

There are plenty of online websites that provide curtains, you can buy from there. Handmade curtains are also a good option.
