Whenever a person makes his house he wants to decorate it and the paint is the most suitable thing for it. It helps to provide protection to the surface and at the same time it embellishes the building. A large number of people are manufacturing them and hence they are available in the market in a variety of colors and types. Usually paint has pigments,Painting a House Articles additives, binders and solvents and the best paint is the one which has better binders available in its composition. Now in this article I will tell you that what types of paints should be preferred in a house and how does paint provide protection to the surface. In paint usually a volatile solvent is used to which a binder and pigments are added. When the paint is applied on the walls or the doors the volatile solvent usually water, oil or latex evaporates and the binders in the paint adhere the pigments on the wall. In this case a smooth covering gets formed on the surface and a beautiful desired color gets imprinted on the roof.

In our houses we usually use two types of paints one are oil based and the other are water based. The oil based paints are more durable, resistive and expensive as compared to the water based paints as the pigments and the binders which are usually organic in nature binds with the oil in the better way as compared to that in water which does not possess organic properties to dissolve the organic binders. A general rule is applied in painting that the oil paint can be applied on the place where the water based paint was priory applied but the reverse cannot be performed. There are latex paints as well as alkyl paints that are also used in the houses as paints. They also follow the same procedure as I have described above that includes that when the paint is applied after some time the latex and alkyl evaporates slowly. The advantage of their slow evaporation is that they a thin paint film is formed on the surface. Both these paints are manufactured at a certain temperature and the blended mixtures are mixed in such a way that they show the best properties in the end. These paints are also environment friendly as the solvent that evaporates does not cause any damage to the living life.

There are certain other properties that must be considered while choosing paint for the house. When you make a selection for a house you first see that you want the paint for either the interior of the house or the exterior. Then also take into consideration the demographical climate of the area you are living in .As the areas where there is high temperature that type of paints are used in which the solvent evaporates slowly and smoothly and that those are manufactured in a manner to work easily at high temperature. In certain places in a house there is more water exposure to the walls so the paints specially designed to solve this problem should be used.
