After you have picked out the curtains, focus on the dining room chairs. You can find some beautiful thick fabrics that you can easily cover your chairs with. Pick out something that matches the curtains in the room to make an extra special look.

Your dining room chairs are a very important part of an elegant dinner or just a gathering with friends and family. If you have uncomfortable chairs then it will make for a really long and uncomfortable dinner gathering. After sitting in the room on an uncomfortable chair for just a short amount of time people can begin having back pains or worse.

When you get everything home measure the fabric so that it will completely cover the seat area of the chair with the pad on top of it. Cut a piece of fabric for each of your dining room chairs. The size of the fabric will be easier to determine if you are removing fabric that is already on the chair. In this case you will just need to cut the fabric to the same size as the original fabric.

After the fabric is cut it is a good idea to spray it down with some fabric protector. This will help if there are spills on the fabric. It will allow you to just wipe it off instead of a stain setting in. Once the spray guard is dry, add the foam pad to the seat area of the chair.

After the foam pad is set on the seat area, stretch the fabric over the pad and to the bottom of the chair. Use a staple gun to attach the excess fabric to the bottom of the chair. Be sure to pull it tight so that the seat is covered in a nice tight fashion.
