• Sweep your brick pavers daily to get rid of anything that makes it look dull and dirty. You can never stop the wind from carrying dirt on it. There are times that you need to sweep twice a day too. When heavy rain falls and it is accompanied by strong wind, you may find leaves and trash on it. Remove them as soon as the sun shines to prevent them from rotting or sticking on your elegant outdoor path.
• If you have chosen light-colored flooring for your outdoor hangout or path, you can never get away from stains but you can remove them easily by using water and a cleaning solution that is made specifically for outdoor flooring. You can search the internet for an appropriate solution or you can simply ask your supplier about it. You can use a brush to remove the stubborn stains and moss as well.

• To enhance the longevity of your outdoor fixtures, fill in the spaces with jointing sand. You can choose from washed concrete sand, graded mason’s sand, and polymeric sand which requires water. This is done thrice a year to secure the interlock between the bricks. This means that they will not move away from each other over time. Finer sand tightens the joints and many builders advice using this kind. If you want to eliminate the weeds, use polymeric sand.
• If you want to repel water and stains, use the appropriate sealer for your flooring material. Clean the paver well. Get rid of water, debris, and stains thoroughly before applying the sealant. Use a roller when applying to spread the seal evenly. Make sure that the area is dry. Use a brush where the bricks meet so that you won’t miss any spot. Read the direction carefully if you need a double coat or not. If there is a need for a second coat, wait for the first coat to dry first. This task is done once a year. This will keep your installation looking new.
